Returns & Refunds

Last updated: 28 June 2026

This policy explains how returns, refunds and disputes work for items bought from sellers on Flippiks. It forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to on-platform purchases only — not to the third-party (e.g. eBay) listings we link to, which are governed by that marketplace’s own policies.

1. Buyer protection at a glance

Every on-platform purchase is covered by a 30-day buyer-protection window that starts on the day you buy. Within that window you can open a case if your item:

  • never arrives; or
  • arrives not as described — significantly different from the listing (wrong item, undisclosed damage or faults, counterfeit, and so on).

2. How to open a case

Go to your dashboard, find the order, and choose “Report a problem” to open a case. Tell us what went wrong and add any detail that helps. Opening a case pauses the order — funds are not released to the seller while a case is open.

3. How a case is resolved

The sellercan respond to explain or resolve the issue. If it isn’t resolved between you, a member of the Flippiks team reviews the case and decides: either a refundto the buyer, or the case is closed with no refund where the claim isn’t supported. We aim to review cases promptly and keep both parties updated.

4. Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method via Stripe. A full refund returns the item price and the postage you paid. Refunds usually appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card provider.

Where a refund is for a not-as-described or faulty item and the seller asks for the item back, the seller covers the cost of return postage. For a change-of-mind return (see below), the buyer normally pays return postage.

5. Change-of-mind returns

Returns for change of mind — where the item is exactly as described — are at the seller’s discretionunless a mandatory consumer right applies in your country. Some collectibles, for example sealed or graded items, may not be returnable once opened. Always check the listing and message the seller before buying if you’re unsure.

6. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy removes or limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence (for example rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods). Those rights apply in addition to the protection above.
